Why do priests have to wear albs, chasubles and stoles?

– White tunic (also called Alb) is a white tunic with two wide sleeves, worn inside.
– Stole is a long piece of cloth, often having the same color with the chasuble. The Bishop and the priest wear stoles around the neck and hanging straight down in the front, and the deacon wears over his left shoulder and under his right arm diagonally across his chest and back. The manner of wearing the stole helps us easily identify the hierarchy of the holy orders (bishop, priest, deacon).
– Chasuble, very wide covers the alb. The color of the chasuble depends on the liturgical season or feasts: red, green, violet, white (or yellow).
The deacon wears only the alb and the stole (diagonally across his left shoulder).
In the Church as Christ’s Mystical Body, the members do not perform the same function. When performing worship, differences in positions are shown outside by the difference in vestment. As a consequence, the attire is the sign of every minister. What is more, the sacred attire increases the solemnity of the liturgical celebration.
If the priest has to wear an alb, a chasuble and a stole in Mass, it is to let everybody know that he speaks and acts not on his personal behalf, but in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much.
